The Tale of the Talkative Parrot Once upon a time, in a city, there lived a very talkative parrot named Chatterbox. Chatterbox loved to talk, and he talked all day long. He would talk to the crows, the pigeons, the dogs, and even the stray cats. He would tell them stories, jokes, and gossip. But his favorite topic of conversation was himself.
One day, Chatterbox decided to hold a contest to see who could talk the most. He invited all the animals in the city to participate. The day of the contest arrived, and all the animals gathered in the park. Chatterbox started talking first, and he didn't stop for hours. He told stories about himself, his adventures, and his opinions on everything from the weather to the government.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Chatterbox finished talking. The judges were impressed, but they were also exhausted. They decided to award the prize to the animal who had listened the longest without saying a word. And the winner was... a snail! The snail had simply crawled onto a leaf and listened patiently to Chatterbox's endless chatter.
From that day on, Chatterbox learned a valuable lesson: sometimes, it's better to listen than to talk. And so, he became a much quieter parrot, content to enjoy the company of his friends without having to say a word.
