πͺπ¬ Speech 1 πͺπ¬
Distinguished Chief Guests, Respected teachers and dear friends,
Good morning! Today, we gather here to celebrate a very special day in our history – the 15th of August, Indian Independence Day. On this day, back in 1947, India broke free from the chains of colonial rule and became an independent nation. It's a day of pride, joy, and unity for all of us.
Imagine, our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and many others, worked tirelessly to free our country from British rule. They believed in the power of unity, non-violence, and perseverance. They showed us that with determination and courage, we can achieve anything.
As we celebrate this day, let's remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. Let's honor their memory by being responsible citizens. Just as they dreamt of a free and prosperous India, we can contribute by studying hard, being kind to one another, and respecting our diverse culture.
Today, we raise our tricolor flag high, not just as a symbol of our nation, but as a reminder of the values that make India great – unity, diversity, and progress. Let's promise to work together to make our country even better and ensure that their efforts were not in vain.
Thank you, and happy Independence Day!
