Describing the Process of Making Fruit Popsicles

Stage 1:



  • Ask the students to study the picture of making Mango Popsicles. 
  • Ask them to guess the steps involved in making Popsicles and number the pictures (1-6) accordingly  in the circles provided.



  • Ask the students to sit in groups and  go through the help box. 
  • Ask them to notice preparation time, freezing time etc., and the verbs used in the procedure.
  • Ask the students to discuss the procedure and let one of the group members represent the group, choosing any other fruit as an ingredient.


Support :

  • Cut - mango pieces

  • Add - 2 table spoons sugar and 1 cup water

  • Blend - mangoes

  • Get - smooth juice

  • Place-  strawberry and grapes in popsicle mould 

  • Pour - mango juice

  • Cover and freeze - 8 hours/until sets completely

  • Unmould - the mango popsicle and enjoy


Stage 2:


  1. Ask the students to watch the video to learn certain verbs related to cooking.

  1. Ask the students to discuss any other simple eatables that they can do on their own. 

  2. Let the students come up with their own recipes. Allow them to use their mother tongue if necessary before coming to present their recipe before the class. 

  3. Ask them to express in English.
